Week 1 Update: Bunch of QoL and side content!


Version 1.1.0 is focused on quality of life changes and side content expansion based on initial feedback. This update does not contain any story or epochs-based updates. New game is required, old saves will not load or game will not work properly.

Gameplay:

  • Added florist table to craft items from plants.
  • Moved all plant-related recipes from “hands” category to “florist table”.
  • Replaced “Flowers” resource with separate flowers petals.
  • Added stone and iron sickle (faster plants harvest).
  • Added cotton and leather gloves (faster flowers and berries harvest).
  • Added wooden dryer.
  • Added leather.
  • Added leather backpack.
  • Added small animal trap.
  • Added animal skin to animal’s drop.
  • Added iron pickaxe, axe and shovel.
  • Added flour and bread recipes.
  • Added bulk plants recipes.
  • Added gardener building (collects vegetables).
  • Added forages building (collects berries).
  • Added florist building (collects white flowers petals).
  • Changed building process to use items weight instead of items count.
  • Changed default city’s builders power from 0.1 to 0.6.
  • Moved survival basics quests to separate quests line.
  • Tweaked researches, objects and buildings values.

UI:

  • [PC] Changed camera movement controls. Now right mouse is used to drag, and you can also move camera by moving cursor to the screen border.
  • [PC] Last camera mode is now saved during game save.
  • Reworked university menu to display unlocked recipes, buildings and researches.
  • Changed crafting menus to display all available recipes like city hall or university menus does.
  • Fixed escape button does not close building/demolition/ownership menus.
  • Fixed multiple popups can overlap or linger between similar menus.
  • Removed keys blacklist (now any key can be bound).
  • Added keybind for debug console.

Internal changes:

  • Moved objects parameters from C# code to csv.
  • Replaced foundations translations with buildings.
  • Fixed console is not scrolled automatically.
  • Disabled console for mobile devices.
  • Implemented chunks loading queue.
  • Removed unused code/scenes.

Known bugs:

  • [PC] Sometimes text might be truncated in borderless/fullscreen mode. This is engine-related bug (https://github.com/godotengine/godot/issues/81624). Once it will be fixed in engine, it will be automatically fixed in game.
  • Some objects have bad colliders, so you need to step inside to enter.
