Week 14 Status: Polishing things


Last week I didn’t have much time to continue working on the game. Most of the time I’ve spent on thinking how I can make UI less cluttered, especially with multi-production buildings, such as brick smeltery (it has 4 types of production during metal age). In the mean time I’ve also started filling placeholder researches and adding new versions of old buildings. Next week I want to update quarries UI and update diggers to use quarries mechanic too.

Intermediate changelog:

Gameplay:

  • Added water resource.
  • Reworked wells to not only provide water for player, but also to require workers to collect water.
  • Added wooden barrel and stone farmer buildings and their corresponding researches (wooden barrel and irrigation).
  • Tweaked market’s prices.

UI:

  • Adjusted center of the employment center building.
  • Added support for production overflow in city hall buildings menu.
  • Changed styles of the scrollbars.
  • Removed “Production” text from production buildings in city hall.
  • Fixed city hall buildings menu displays required count in kg instead of actual count.

Internal changes:

  • None.
