Week 12 Status: Quarries status and next update


This week I’ve finished implementing new quarries, but I decided to release update next week. The main reason behind this is the fact that I wasn’t able to test all changes manually. Also new system require some tweaking before it is ready. In the mean time I also want to tweak city’s economy. My main goal is to increase buying and selling prices to make trading more flexible.

And, as always, below is the intermediate changelog.

Changelog:

Gameplay:

  • Added fire and smoke animations.
  • Updated smoke effect.

UI:

  • Added support of houses consumption to logistic center.

Internal changes:

  • Reworked particles pooling to support 2+ effects in the same node with different locations.
  • Split city handling classes into multiple ones to gain more control over various aspects.
  • Increased amount of automated tests from 120 to 170.
