Week 15 Update: Quarries refinement!


I’ve been sick this week, so the list of changes will be short. Mainly I’ve focused on making quarries more transparent. Also new type of resources named “Liquids” were added. First resource of this type is water and it is used by stone farmers to produce more wheat.

Changelog:

Gameplay:

  • Added water resource.
  • Reworked wells to not only provide water for player, but also to require workers to collect water.
  • Added wooden barrel and stone farmer buildings and their corresponding researches (wooden barrel and irrigation).
  • Added new tutorial quest explaining new quarries mechanic.
  • Changed diggers production type to quarry. Now they collect both sand and clay.
  • Tweaked market’s prices.

UI:

  • Added quarry menu that displays how much of each resource it produces per second.
  • Adjusted center of the employment center building.
  • Added support for production overflow in city hall buildings menu.
  • Changed styles of the scrollbars.
  • Removed “Production” text from production buildings in city hall.
  • Fixed city hall buildings menu displays required count in kg instead of actual count.

Internal changes:

  • None.

Known bugs:

  • [PC] Sometimes text might be truncated in fullscreen mode. This is engine-related bug (https://github.com/godotengine/godot/issues/81624).
  • Quarries consumption is not properly calculated in logistic center.
  • Demolishing of quarries displays invalid sprite.
  • Wooden barrel display text is “Enter”.
